DESCRIPTION:Click here to register\nThe City of Alexandria is growing and with it the challenge of keeping up with its infrastructure.  For years the city has been dealing with problems about the storm water system and sanitary sewer system, and combined system in Old Town.\nWith this in mind, Agenda Alexandria is taking a step back to look at the whole story starting with what is the origin of water entering homes and commercial establishments? On the outage, where does the water exiting properties flow?\nAgenda Alexandria will take a look at the entity providing potable water and the different entities involved in the intake and outtake process. We’ll do an overview and breakdown of the water bill charges and fees from entities such as Virginia American Water, Alexandria Renew Enterprises, and the City of Alexandria. We will address historical changes, including collection of storm water taxes via real estate taxes from 2010 to 2017 and then “storm water fees” from 2017 to present.\nFinally, we will also take a look at the infrastructure itself.
