Our community has come a long way from being host to slave trades to the enactment of policies aiming to removing the barriers of participation with the goal of achieving racial and social equity. However, this process has not been exempted from its own challenges. The conversation about race continues to impact how we live, engage, and thrive as a community.\nFor February, Agenda Alexandria will invite a diverse panel of Alexandrians to share personal experiences dealing with race in the Port City. These residents will be joined by a racial equity facilitator to help navigate differences, common questions, and lessons around race and how we can work to dismantle systemic racism in our own community.\nHave you always found it difficult to talk about race?
