DESCRIPTION:Click here to register\nThe March program of Agenda Alexandria will focus on the city of Alexandria’s budget process.\nThe city is currently in a months-long examination of City Manager Jim Parajon’s proposed budget of $881.1 million for fiscal year 2024.\nThe March 27 program at the Lyceum will look at the complex process that involves city staff, elected officials and citizen interests, including the legal constraints the city operates under and the policy choices that must be balanced with revenues and tax burdens.\nThe panel to explore these issues will consist of Morgan Routt, Alexandria’s budget director, and three onetime elected officials. They are former members of City Council David Speck and Frank Fannon; and Ronnie Campbell, who was the longest-serving elected member of the school board.\nPlease join us on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 6:30 PM at the The Lyceum at 201 S Washington St, Alexandria, VA 22314l. It will begin at 7:00 pm and run until 8:15 p.m. and be preceded by a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m.  We will also be live-streaming the program through AgendaAlexandria.org, in collaboration with the Alexandria City High School Broadcast Club and The Zebra newspaper.\n
