She has been involved in many issues involving transportation including the Seminary Road diet, Duke Street in Motion, and the more recent Pickett Street Road diet.\nFlemming has been an active volunteer and board member for many decades in a variety of organizations in Alexandria including The Campagna Center, The Alexandria Red Cross, the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority, the Alexandria Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, Senior Services of Alexandria, the Seminary Hill Association, and the Alexandria Federation of Civic Associations, where she currently serves as Chair. She was named an Alexandria Living Legend in 2017.\n\nKanti Srikanth oversees and coordinates the integration of transportation, land use, housing, climate, energy, and air quality planning programs. He has more than 30 years of experience in transportation and regional planning. Kanti has served as the Staff Director for the Transportation Planning Board at COG since 2014 and as Deputy Executive Director since 2019.\n\nDane Lauritzen is a resident, pedestrian, biker, and commuter who lives in Alexandria and works for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC. Dane also serves as a volunteer member on the Alexandria Building Code Board of Appeals.\nThrough Families for Safe Streets, Dane has helped boost the visibility of street safety and road design issues at the Alexandria Farmers Market and Bike to Work.
