Eileen Ahern
Eileen Ahern joins the Agenda Alexandria Board after many years of membership. As a Navy spouse (to Tim Ahern, former Board member/ Chair), Eileen recreated her career several times over as they relocated 17 times across the US. Eileen holds a BA and MT in Early Childhood Education from Rhode Island College, and taught in Rhode Island, California and Virginia (locally at Trinity MOPS Preschool).
In 1983 she started her own meeting planning business—Executive Meeting Services, LLC—that operated in Rhode Island and California until 1995.
When Eileen and her family settled back in Alexandria for the second and final time in 1993, she became involved in a nonprofit called Christmas in April that later became Rebuilding Together Alexandria. She served as its Director for ten years.
Now semi-retired, Eileen spends her days volunteering for Fort Myer Thrift Shop as the Chair of the Community Grants Program, working part time at Reunions gift shop, and loving her fist grandchild Timmy.
