Carter Flemming
Carter is a native Alexandrian. She is a graduate of St. Agnes School and Tulane University.
Carter has been an active volunteer and board member for many decades in a variety of organizations in Alexandria including The Campagna Center, The Alexandria Red Cross, the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority, the Alexandria Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, Senior Services of Alexandria, Neighborhood Health, Alexandria Community Media, the Seminary Hill Association, and is the immediate past Chair of the Alexandria Federation of Civic Associations. She was named an Alexandria Living Legend in 2017.
